The research project Religious Matters in an Entangled World examines issues of religious diversity and tension that are also reflected in the lifeworld of pupils and are therefore of relevance for secondary education. Therefore, we developed the website Omstreden Zaken, hoe wij samenleven in een multireligieus landschap (‘Contested Matters, how we live together in a multireligious landscape’), which features teaching material based on the Religious Matters project. Omstreden Zaken offers both teaching modules and didactical methods. The entire Religious Matters team contributes to this educational project, in close cooperation with subject didactics specialist for secondary education Manon Meijer.
The journal Religie & Samenleving published an article about the website Omstreden Zaken, written by Manon Meijer and Annemeik Schlatmann. The article discusses what the website has on offer for secondary school teachers from many different school subjects and how they can use the material in their teaching practice.
