Legba-figures and dzokawo: unpacking a missionary collection from the Übersee-Museum Bremen

In this essay on the “Decolonizing Collections – Networking Towards Relationality”-blog on the Boas-blogs forum (see here), Birgit Meyer sketches her ideas about a collaborative study of a missionary collection of legba-figures (translated as “idols”) and dzokawo (translated as “charms”) that was acquired by German Protestant missionaries among the Ewe in Ghana and Togo and taken to the Übersee-Museum Bremen.
