In early September 2021, the exhibition “Kirchner and Nolde: Expressionism. Colonialism.” opened at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. On Thursday 25 and Friday 26 November, the exhibition is contextualized and discussed during a symposium, which takes place online due to the Covid-19 circumstances in The Netherlands.

Birgit Meyer was a member of the advisory board for the exhibition. During the symposium, she will moderate the panel on “Considering Oceania/Océanie”.
