The Sacred Heart of Jesus travels well. Grounded in the mystical experiences of the seventeenth-century nun Margaret Mary Alacoque, the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus has spread across the world with the expansion of Catholicism through the Jesuits and other mission orders.
