Pooyan Tamimi Arab and Ofran Badakhshani were interviewed by Ron Brouwer, chairman of the Football Unlimited Netherlands Foundation and bus driver of special needs children to school, who seeks to engage with and bring together people of diverse backgrounds in the Netherlands.
Pooyan is at the moment writing an article tentatively titled “Can Muslims Drink? Intoxicating the Anthropology of Islam,” about Ofran’s wine shops and bar in The Hague and Amsterdam. Ofran is a philosopher-poet-wine seller born in the North-East of Afghanistan, who arrived in the Netherlands at the age of 13, in 1997, and studied philosophy at the University of Amsterdam. He is the author, among others, of De Banneling (2015).
In this brief interview, Ofran and Pooyan commented on Plato, drinking, and racism.
